Our Intent

We believe history shapes who we are at New Silksworth Academy. Our teaching will help pupils gain a coherent knowledge and understanding of Britain’s past and that of the wider world to build respect, appreciation, and pride of their predecessors and the legacies with which they have been left. We will create an atmosphere which inspires curiosity, makes connections between people and time, and allows pupils to make judgements, draw comparisons and understand the complexities of peoples lives.
