Two Year Old Provision

We currently offer government funded and paid (private) places in our 2-Year Old Provision. All children who are entitled to 15-hours free childcare per week can attend either a morning or an afternoon session. All places are allocated subject to availability. Once the application form is completed, an online check (via the CCS Provider Portal) will be carried out by the Academy Business or Office Manager to determine whether the child is eligible or not. 

We try our best to ensure that all children have a smooth start to our provision and we recognise the importance for both children and parents/carers alike. In some cases, we find it is better for children to have a phased start, which often helps them integrate and settle into school life better. This can be arranged between parents and staff.

Nursery

New Silksworth  Academy offers up to 15 hours of free Nursery education to 3 – 4 year olds and the option of an additional 15 hours of free childcare to eligible families subject to availability.  We accept children into the Nursery class from the term after the child’s 3rd birthday.  For more information about Nursery admissions and sessions available, please contact the school office.

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 (KS1)

You can apply for a place in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 for your child by following the link below. Alternatively, you can download a copy of the Primary School Transfer Form by following the link shown below. Please be aware that you will still need to apply for a place in Reception, even if your child currently attends the Nursery provision at New Silksworth Academy.

Years 3-6 (KS2)

As with a Reception place application, you will need to apply for a place in Year 3 even if your child is currently in Year 2 at New Silksworth Academy. You can do this by using the same link given above.

Transferring Schools

If your child is currently at another school and you want to transfer to New Silksworth Academy, you will need to complete a School Transfer Application Form. You can download one by clicking on the link below.

The parent/carer will need to complete Section A. Your child's current school will complete Section B and forward this to New Silksworth Academy who will complete Section C.
